Holidays in Grouville

The picturesque old village of Gorey straddles the boundary between St Martin and Grouville and boasts the 13th century Mont Orgueil Castle standing majestically above the harbour. It is also home to the Royal Bay of Grouville, the prefix Royal being added in 1859 by command of Queen Victoria.

Many fine restaurants and cafes can be found on the harbourside, and freshly caught fish and oysters are landed daily. Further down the coast is the immaculate beach of Grouville Bay, with fine golden sands and bordering the Royal Jersey Golf Club. La Hougue Bie, a Neolithic burial chamber, is one of the best preserved in Europe.
